Always In My Heart

Happy Valentine’s Day! Welcome to the Candy Hearts Blog Hop for February! Today we are sharing projects with a Love theme. After reading my post, I hope you will hop to the next person on the list below. Be sure to hop around to see ALL the great projects the Candy Hearts have created for you!

My mom lives in an Assisted Living community, so I try to make her pretty things to remind her of how much she’s loved. Today I am sharing one of those with you.

Here’s how I made it:

Cut and Score with you Paper Trimmer:

  • Rich Razzleberry 11″ x 4.25″, scored at 5.5″ on the long side
  • New Horizons DSP – 4″ x 5.25″
  • Basic White – 4″ x 5.25″ (for the inside)

Die Cut with Floral Hearts:

  • Make 2 cuts with the floral heart die – one from a piece of Basic White and another from the new Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper

Stamp using Always in my Heart:

  • With Rich Razzleberry ink, stamp “You are always in my heart” on the Basic White solid heart, placing it toward the top so that you have room for rhinestones at the bottom

Assemble the Card:

  • Fold your card base on the score line and burnish with your bone folder
  • Adhere the New Horizons DSP to the card front
  • Using Tomboy Multipurpose Glue, adhere the Mother of Pearl floral heart to the card front
  • Adhere the stamped Basic White solid heart to the center of the Mother of Pearl floral heart using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Add three Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the bottom area of the Basic White heart

Here is a Clos up to show you how amazing the sparkle is on this Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper:
