Hello! Happy Monday! Who doesn’t love some cookies? Especially when there’s an adorable blue monster munching on them? Well, that’s EXACTLY the type of card I made to share with you today! Isn’t her adorable??
How I made it:
Cut & Score with your Paper Trimmer:
- Basic Black – 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″ on the long side
- Pacific Point – 4″ x 5.25″
- Whisper White – 4″ x 5.25″
Die Cut with Layering Circles Dies:
- Basic Black using the largest non-scalloped circle (cut this in half – this will be the mouth)
- 2 Whisper White using the 2nd smallest non-scalloped circle
Stamp Using Nothing’s Better Than:
- 8-9 Detailed Cookies in Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake cardstock
Die Cut with Love You More Dies:
- The cookies you stamped in the previous step
- The word “Cookies” from a piece of Real Red cardstock
Die Cut with Warm Wraps Dies:
- 2 pieces of Basic Black from the die that makes a “donut” – you want that center piece
Emboss Using Old World Paper:
- Your piece of Pacific Point card stock
Assemble the Card:
- Fold your scored Basic Black card base at the 4.25” score line and burnish with your bone folder
- Adhere the embossed Pacific Point panel to the card base
- Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the word “Cookies” to the bottom left of the Pacific Point panel
- Adhere the Basic Black half-circle to the Pacific Point panel, not exactly straight, as this is a fun-loving cookie-devouring monster that we’re making, after all!
- Adhere the Whisper White circles where eyes should be, slightly overlapping one another
- Adhere the two small Basic Black circles inside the Whisper White circles – mine are going opposite directions, place yours where ever you like them best!
- Adhere approximately 5 cookies directly over the mouth and surrounding are
- Adhere 2 cookies over those using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Adhere 2 cookies to the Whisper White inner panel, using Multipurpose Liquid glue for these
- Adhere the Whisper White inner panel to the inside of the card
You’re done! How fun was it to create a character we all know and love using simple shapes and brightly colored card stock? I love that creativity knows no bounds!
