Ever So Thankful

Welcome to the October 2021 Candy Hearts Blog Hop! Today we are sharing Thank You projects. After reading my post, I hope you will hop to the next person on the list below. Be sure to hop around to see ALL the great projects the Candy Hearts have created for you!

Here’s how I made it:

Cut and Score with your Paper Trimmer:

  • Old Olive – 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″ on the long side
  • Very Vanilla – 5.25″ x 4″ (cut 2 – one for inside the card and one for outside)
  • 1/2″ strips – we will cut them down with angled edges later:
    • Subtles 6×6 DSP – So Saffron design – choose any design, cut a 1/2″ strip
    • Beauty of the Earth – the green “water color trees” – cut a 1/2″ strip
    • Very Vanilla – cut a 1/2″ strip

Stamp Using Nature’s Harvest:

  • On the 1/2″ strip of Very Vanilla, in Cajun Craze stamp the sentiment “Thank You”
  • On a scrap piece of Basic White, in Memento Tuxedo Black, stamp the image of the three Coneflowers
  • Color the Coneflowers using Light & Dark Stampin’ Blends in So Saffron, Old Olive & Cajun Craze

Die Cut Using Harvest Dies:

  • Die cut the colored image of the three Conflowers
  • Using Old Olive cardstock, die cut the tall, skinny flora with the three flower bundles at the top
  • Using Cajun Craze yardstick, die cut the same shape you just die cut in Old Olive

Emboss Using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder:

  • One piece of the 5.25″ x 4″ Very Vanilla

Assemble the Card:

  • Fold your Old Olive card base on the score line and burnish with your Bone Folder
  • Adhere the Timeworn Type embossed Very Vanilla panel to the card front
  • Snip off the Cajun Craze flora bunches from the die cut, glue them to the the Old Olive die cut
  • Adhere the combined-color die cut to the Very Vanilla panel
  • Adhere the stems of the of the Coneflower bundle to the card base directly, placing Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the flowers so that they pop up off the card
  • Cut a piece of Diamond Weave Ribbon approximately 3″ long with both ends angled, adhere over the flower stems
  • Cut your 1/2″ strips of DSP to have angled ends, approximately 2.5″ in length for one and about 2.75″ for the other, layer these over the Diamond Weave Ribbon
  • Cut the ends of your sentiment strip on an angle and layer over the DSP and ribbon
  • Adhere the second piece of 5.25″ x 4″ Very Vanilla yardstick to the inside of your card
