Sweet, Sweet Strawberries

Today I’d like to share with you an adorably sweet card that I made with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog and paper from the Berry Blessings Level 2 Sale-a-Bration reward (paper and stamp set both included)

How I made it:

Cut and Score with your Paper Trimmer:

  • Poppy Parade – 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″ on the long side
  • Whisper (Basic) White – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Green Plaid DSP from the Berry Delightful Designer Series SAB Paper
  • Whisper (Basic) White – 2 Pieces of 4.25″ x 5.5″
  • Whisper (Basic) White – 4″ x 5.25″ (for the inside lining of the card)

Die Cut using Fabulous Floral dies:

  • Using the die that looks like 3 square doilies overlapped, cut from the side of one of the 4.25″ x 5.5″ pieces of Whisper (Basic) White

Stamp Using Sweet Strawberry:

  • First, take a scrap piece of paper and punch out all of the shapes from the Strawberry Builder punch – this will be a template for stamping, to make it easier to punch out the elements
  • Place this template into your Stamparatus and line up the outlines of the Strawberry, Strawberry Stem, Leaf and Small Flower with the template. Pick the stamps up with your acrylic plate
  • Place the remainder of the Whisper (Basic) White paper that you die cut from into the Stamparatus, ink your stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamp the images onto the paper.
  • Turn the paper so that the blank are is where your stamps will be, ink your stamp and repeat.
  • Do this same exercise 4 more times on the other piece of 4.25″ x 5.5″ Whisper (Basic) White
  • Next, use your acrylic blocks to individually stamp in the color on the leaves and stems (Granny Apple Green) and strawberries (Poppy Parade)
  • Color the center of the flowers using your Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend (or a yellow Stampin’ Write Marker if you don’t have the Stampin’ Blends)
  • Additionally, stamp “Thank You” un Poppy Parade on a scrap of Whisper White

Punch using the Strawberry Builder Punch:

  • Punch out all 6 clusters you have stamped and colored – because we used a template to line up the stamps, this task will be easy to line up your stamps and punch.
  • Hold your punch upside down so that you can see your stamped images through the openings in the bottom or the punch

Punch Using Everyday Label & Timeless Label Punches:

  • From a scrap of Poppy Parade punch out the Everyday Label
  • From the scrap of Whisper (Basic) White where you stamped “Thank You”, punch out the Timeless Label

Assemble the Card:

  • Fold your scored Poppy Parade card base at the 4.25” score line and burnish with your bone folder
  • Adhere the 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Whisper (Basic) White to the center of the card front
  • Adhere the 4″ x 5.25″ green plaid DSP to the center of the Whisper (Basic) White panel
  • Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the doily die cut from Fabulous Floral to the left side of the card
  • Adhere your Timeless Label punch with sentiment on top of the Poppy Parade Everyday Label
  • Adhere the two punched pieces to the card front centered between the right edge and the doily
  • Glue the stems to the top of the strawberries
  • Adhere 4 leaves above the sentiment, one below and one to the doily
  • Adhere two strawberries flat under the sentiment
  • Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere the remaining 4 strawberries – 2 above the sentiment, 1 below the sentiment and 1 on the doily
  • Adhere the small flowers – I used Stampin’ Dimensionals on all but 1 of the flowers
