Stampin’ Up! has introduced an AMAZING specialty designer series paper (DSP) with the 2021-2022. When I say that this paper is amazing, I’m understating it – seriously! Photos can never do this product justice, but I’m going to try to show you how amazing it is with my next two posts!

This first card I’m going to share is fairly simple, but really packs the “WOW FACTOR”!
Cut & Score with Your Paper Trimmer:
- Merry Merlot – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 on the long side
- Rose Gold Specialty DSP – 5 1/4 x 4
- Neutrals 6×6 DSP (Merry Merlot color) – 5 1/4 x 1 5/8
- Gold Specialty DSP – 5 1/4 x 1
- Basic Black – scrap at least 2 x 2
- Very Vanilla – scrap at least 2 x 3
- Very Vanilla – 5 1/4 x 4 (for the inside)
Stamp using Delicate Dahlias:
- In Merry Merlot on Very Vanilla:
- Stamp the small Dahlia outline full strength
- Stamp the solid small Dahlia, stamped off
- Stamp the sentiment “you INSPIRE me” full strength
Die Cut with your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine:
- Using Tasteful Labels:
- Die cut the large circle from Basic Black
- Use the small circle to die cut your stamped Dahlia
- Use the banner-shaped die to cue out your sentiment
- Using Stitched Greenery, run the piece of Rose Gold Specialty DSP through, this will cut a pattern into your paper by way of stitch marks, but will not actually cut any removable shapes
Assemble Your Card:
- Burnish your Merry Merlot card base on the score mark
- Adhere the strip of Merry Merlot DSP from the Neutrals 6×6 DSP packet to the Rose Gold Specialty DSP panel
- Adhere the Gold Specialty DSP strip on top of the Merry Merlot Strip
- Adhere your round Dahlia piece to the round Basic Black piece
- Glue these layered circles onto your layered panel, letting the edge of the circles hang off a bit on the left
- Trim off the overhanging piece of the circles
- Adhere the assembled panel to the card front
- Adhere your sentiment
- Adhere the Very Vanilla 5 1/4 x 4 panel to the inside of your card
There you have it! A beautiful, elegant card full of metallic sparkle and shine!!!
