Sweet Raspberry Birthday

Last week I promised you more fruity-fun cards, and today I’m coming through with that promise! How fun are these beautiful ripe raspberries? I absolutely love these rich, deep purples!

How I made it:

Cut and Score with your Paper Trimmer:

  • Rich Razzleberry – 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″ on the long side
  • Raspberry pattern from the Berry Delightful Designer Series Sale-A-Bration Paper – 4″ x 5.25″
  • Rich Razzleberry – 3.5″ x 3″
  • Raspberry close-up pattern from the Berry Delightful SAB DSP – 3.25″ x 2.75″
  • Basic White – 3″ x 3″
  • 6″ of Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon
  • Basic White – 4″ x 5.25″

Stamp Using Berry Blessing:

  • On the Basic White 3″ x 3″, stamp the sentiment “Happy Birthday You Sweet Thing” toward the bottom in Rich Razzleberry
  • On a scrap strip of Basic White stamp 5 Raspberries in Memento Tuxedo Black, spacing them out a few inches
  • On another scrap strip of Basic White, stamp the Raspberry Stem outline 5 times in Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Stamp the 5 Raspberry insides with Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss
  • Stamp the 5 Raspberry Stem insides with Garden Green

Punch Using the Strawberry Builder Punch:

  • I made a wonderful discovery while working on this project, the leaf portion of the Strawberry Builder punch works to punch out the Raspberries! See the photo below
  • Once you have punched them you’ll just need to trim off the extra white space at the top of the berry, but it sure does cut down on the amount of fussy cutting needed!
  • You will still need to fussy cut the Raspberry Stems

Die Cut Using Beautiful Boughs:

  • From the 3″ x 3″ Basic White square with your sentiment, use the larger rectangle to cut out the sentiment

Assemble the Card:

  • Fold your scored Rich Razzleberry card base at the 4.25” score line and burnish with your bone folder
  • Adhere the 6″ piece of Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon across the bottom portion of the 4″ x 5.25″ piece of DSP
  • Adhere the 4″ x 5.25″ piece of DSP to the card front+
  • Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Raspberry Stems to the Raspberries
  • Build Your Sentiment Square:
    • Adhere the 3.25″ x 2.75″ piece of DSP to the 3.5″ x 3″ piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock
    • Adhere the Basic White that was die cut using Beautiful Boughs to the DSP
  • Adhere these 3 pieces to the card front
  • Adhere your Raspberries above the sentiment – some flat and some raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Color 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend and place them between the ribbon and the sentiment
  • Finally, adhere the 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Basic White to the inside of the card
