As promised, I have another project to bring you that features the beautiful Gold & Rose Gold Specialty DSP.
This time I only used the gold, and I paired it with flowers in gorgeous fall colors. Aren’t these Pierced Blooms just darling??
Here’s how I made it:
Cut and Score with your Paper Trimmer:
- Soft Suede – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 on the long side
- Gold Specialty DSP – 5 1/4 x 4
- Pumpkin Pie – 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
- Crushed Curry – 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
- Cherry Cobbler – 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
- Soft Succulent – 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
- Very Vanilla – 3 x 2
- Very Vanilla – 5 1/4 x 4 (for the inside)
Die Cut using Pierced Blooms:
- Cut 2 of each leaf shape from the piece of Soft Succulent
- From each of the three colors (Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler), die cut one of each flower in the set – you will be able to fit them all on the 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 pieces of paper, I promise!
- From the 3 x 2 Very Vanilla, die cut the label shape
Die Cut Using Stitched Greenery:
- Run the Gold Specialty DSP through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
Stamp using In Bloom:
- In Cherry Cobbler, stamp the sentiment “You are amazing” toward the bottom right of the Very Vanilla Label
Assemble the Card:
- Using your Bone Folder, burnish the piece of Soft Suede on the score line
- Adhere the piece of Gold Specialty DSP to the card front
- Begin to build your floral arrangement – you’ll have flowers left over, I didn’t know how many I would use of which shape in which color so I just cut a lot
- I started by laying down the largest blooms in Cheerly Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie, then popped up the same flower shape in Crushed Curry
- Next I adhered some Soft Succulent leaves before adding more flowers
- Some of the flowers were glued directly to the Gold Specialty DSP panel and others were popped
- As I moved on, I added more leaves
- Once I had enough flowers, I went back and added multi-color layers onto the base layer of flowers
- Adhere the Very Vanilla sentiment label, tucking it under some flowers to hide the empty space
- Finally, add some Gold Gilded Gems for just a little extra bling
